Wat Benchamabophit
CultureVisit: ~60 min
Known as the Marble Temple, it was built in the early 20th century on the orders of Rama V to a design by Prince Naris. Its buildings use white Carrara marble and a roof of coloured tiles. A courtyard with a gallery holds dozens of Buddha images of different styles and origins, and the ubosot houses a replica of the famous Phra Phuttha Chinnarat Buddha. It is still a working temple, with monks.
