Puente Nuevo
CultureVisit: ~30 min
Stone bridge spanning the Tajo of Ronda, about 98 metres above the Guadalevín river and joined to the city by a single central arch. It was built in the 18th century, between 1759 and 1793, to a design by José Martín de Aldehuela, and links the old town with the Mercadillo district. Above the keystone of the central arch there is a chamber that was used as a prison.
