Museum opened in 1993 on a peninsula of the Rhine harbour, in the Altstadt-Süd district. It reviews the history of cocoa from pre-Columbian cultures to the industrial manufacture of chocolate. It includes a tropical greenhouse with cocoa plants and a chocolate fountain beside which tastings are handed out.
