Romanesque church from the 11th century built on the site where the Romans built a temple to the Capitol, hence its name. It is one of the twelve great Romanesque churches of Cologne. Its best-known feature is the trefoil-plan apse, with three semicircular arms. It was badly damaged in the war and rebuilt afterwards.
