National Museum of Nature and Science (Japan)

The museum is located in the north-east corner of Ueno Park, in Tokyo, and its main building houses two exhibition halls: the Japan Gallery and the Global Gallery. Exhibits include the preserved bodies of the legendary dogs Hachikō, Taro and Jiro, as well as an 8-inch flexible equatorial-mount astronomical telescope made in the United Kingdom. Outside, a life-size model of a blue whale and a steam locomotive are on display.
