Cathedral Basilica of St James the Apostle
CultureVisit: ~60 min
Gothic brick cathedral whose origins go back to 1187. One of its towers collapsed in a storm in 1456 and the rebuilding lasted until 1503. It was one of the few buildings in the old town to survive the war, though damaged. In 2008 the tower was rebuilt to restore its silhouette, at 110 m: the second tallest structure in the city. A lift takes you to the tower's viewing platforms, from where you can see Szczecin and the Oder.
