Seodaemun Prison

A former prison opened in 1908 by the Japanese authorities, where many Korean independence activists were imprisoned, among them Yu Gwan-sun. It remained in use after liberation until 1987. Today it is a history museum in Seodaemun Independence Park, with cells, interrogation rooms and an exhibition on the struggle for independence.
