Cone-shaped cathedral in Rio, built between 1964 and 1976 in the city centre, the work of the architect Edgar Fonseca. Its concrete structure is about 96 metres tall and resembles a pyramid. Inside, four great vertical stained-glass windows in colour let in a very distinctive light, and the space holds thousands of people.
