The Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, in Gdansk, is one of the largest brick churches in the world. It was built in the Gothic style between 1343 and 1502 and can hold tens of thousands of people. Inside, the 15th-century astronomical clock stands out. From the top of its tower, after about 400 steps, you can see the whole old town, the Motława river and the red rooftops.
