Golden Gate
CultureVisit: ~15 min
The Golden Gate closes the western end of Długa Street and the start of the Royal Route. It was built between 1612 and 1614 to a design by Abraham van den Blocke, in Dutch Mannerist style, and takes its name from the gilding of its ornaments. On the façade facing the street there are allegorical statues, with figures such as Peace, Freedom and Fame. It stands next to the St George's Court.
