Museum in Jumeirah opened in 2016 that tells the story of the formation of the United Arab Emirates as a federation in 1971. It stands next to Union House, the building where the agreement uniting the first emirates was signed, and holds documents, photographs and objects from that period. The main hall occupies an elegant contemporary building, the work of the architects Moriyama and Teshima.
