Seville Sports Palace

The Seville Sports Palace, known as the San Pablo Sports Centre, is a municipal sports complex opened in 1987 and run by Seville City Council. Its main hall seats 7,626 spectators, expandable to 10,000, and has a divisible sports court for different sports. The annex has a gym, two pools (a 25-metre indoor pool and a children's pool), a chess house, rooms for physical conditioning, aerobics, fitness, a weights room, multi-purpose rooms, an assembly hall, a meeting room and changing rooms. Outside there is an athletics track, a natural-grass rugby pitch, three padel courts, a heated 50-metre outdoor pool (not in use since 2007), a recreational beach-style pool, a 20x25-metre diving pool with diving boards, a climbing wall, a medical clinic, a café and car parks. It has hosted events such as the World Indoor Athletics Championships (1991), the European Swimming Championships (1997), EuroBasket (2007) and the Basketball World Cup (2014). It is also used for concerts and shows with large audiences.
