CultureVisit: ~30 minFree

The only historic Orthodox synagogue in Warsaw that survived the war, on Twarda Street. It was built between 1898 and 1902 on the initiative of Zalman and Rywka Nożyk. The Nazis used it as a stable and warehouse, and it was restored afterwards. Today it is still in use by the city's Jewish community.
