Renaissance cathedral of the 16th century begun by Enrique Egas and continued by Diego de Siloé, who designed the circular head of the church. Its main façade, on the Plaza de las Pasiegas, is the work of Alonso Cano, from the 17th century. It keeps a great circular main chapel and stands next to the Royal Chapel, where the Catholic Monarchs are buried.
