Small square in La Candelaria that tradition identifies as the place where Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada founded Bogotá on 6 August 1538. The Hermitage of San Miguel del Príncipe and a fountain stand here. Today it is a meeting point for students, artists and street musicians, and one of the classic places to try chicha or a tinto.
