Former residence of the kings of Poland and seat of Parliament, at the entrance to the old town. The Germans blew it up in 1944 and it was rebuilt between 1971 and 1984 from plans and recovered remains. Today it is a museum and part of Warsaw's historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can visit royal apartments, reception rooms and painting collections.
