A viewpoint of granite blocks on the slope of Mount Abantos, above the Royal Monastery. Tradition has it that Philip II sat here to watch the progress of work on his great building. From the seats carved into the rock you can see the monastery, the town of San Lorenzo and the plain stretching towards Madrid. It is reached by a path from the area around the monastery.
