Museu de l'Arròs de València
The museum occupies the Serra rice mill, from 1906, which processed rice until the 1970s. It is in the Cabanyal district, on calle del Rosario. The City Council restored the building and the Universitat Politècnica restored the original machinery, which still works and covers every stage of the process: cleaning, husking, whitening, grading, polishing and bagging. The visit compares how rice was produced in the early 20th century with current methods and reviews the history of the grain, including its arrival in València with the Arabs. There are guided visits for groups, school activities and seminars for hospitality students. The museum is municipal and tickets are bought online through the City Council's museum ticketing system.
