Cádiz Museum
Provincial museum on Plaza de Mina, in the heart of the old town. It brings together Phoenician and Roman archaeology of the city, with the 5th-century BC Phoenician anthropoid sarcophagi as its best-known pieces, and a fine arts section with paintings by Zurbarán, among other Spanish masters of the 17th and 18th centuries. It is the best way to understand the antiquity of Cádiz, one of the oldest cities in the West.
