Schönbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the Habsburgs, lets visitors walk through its Baroque state rooms and learn about more than three centuries of imperial history reflected in the building's decoration and architecture. Visitors can stroll through the extensive gardens, which include the Great Parterre with mythological sculptures, the Neptune Fountain and the Gloriette perched atop a hill, as well as discover the orangery, the Palm House and a botanical garden. The grounds also feature unique elements such as the Roman Ruin, an architectural ensemble evoking antiquity, and historic pavilions converted into cafés. The palace and its gardens, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, also host classical music concerts in some of their spaces.
