Vasco da Gama Tower
CultureVisit: ~30 min
Tower of about 145 metres in the Parque das Nações, built for Expo 98 in Lisbon beside the Tagus. Its shape recalls a ship's sail and evokes the Age of Discovery, on the centenary of Vasco da Gama's arrival in India. Today it is part of a hotel, with viewing platforms that are not always open, but it can be seen well from the riverside promenade and the bridge that bears his name.
