The Enlightenment Stupa in Benalmádena is a 33-metre-high Tibetan Buddhist structure on a hillside of the Sierra de Mijas, offering a wide view over the Costa del Sol. Inside the stupa, visitors find a 100-square-metre meditation hall whose walls are decorated with scenes from the life of Buddha Shakyamuni. The stupa's basement usually houses exhibitions dedicated to Tibetan Buddhism and Himalayan culture.
