Haus Konstruktiv
Museum Haus Konstruktiv is devoted to constructive, concrete and conceptual art and sets it in dialogue with contemporary art. It is run by a foundation created in 1986 by people close to the Zurich concrete art movement. It was in Seefeld between 1987 and 2001 and then in the former Selnau electrical substation; in spring 2025 it moved to the Löwenbräu area, at Limmatstrasse 268, in the Zürich-West district. It holds about a thousand works from the 20th and 21st centuries, mainly paintings, prints and sculptures linked to the so-called Zurich Concretists, such as Max Bill, Richard Paul Lohse, Camille Graeser and Verena Loewensberg. It organises between three and six temporary exhibitions a year, as well as talks, guided tours and workshops, and has awarded the Zurich Art Prize since 2007.
