Café Central
Food & drinkVisit: ~60 min
Historic Viennese café housed in the Palais Ferstel, on Herrengasse, open since 1876. Its vaults and columns and its salon atmosphere have made it a classic of literary café culture. Tradition has it that figures such as Trotsky, Freud or the writer Peter Altenberg frequented it, and Altenberg's figure inside is one of its symbols. Viennese coffee and pastries are served.
