Scharf-Gerstenberg Collection
The Scharf-Gerstenberg Collection is an art museum in Berlin holding a collection of paintings, graphic works and sculptures spanning from French Romanticism to Surrealism. Founded in 2008, it is part of Berlin's National Gallery and is housed in the historic Stüler building in Charlottenburg, opposite the Berggruen Museum. The collection includes works by artists such as Goya, Dalí, Ernst, Magritte and Klee, with a particular focus on the graphic arts. The museum displays the Gate of Kalabsha and columns from the ancient Temple of Sahure, on loan from the Egyptian Museum. Its permanent exhibition is titled 'Surreale Welten' (Surreal Worlds) and offers a rich cultural experience in a historic architectural setting.
