Palace of Europe
The Palace of Europe is a square building of sandstone, glass and steel, with a red, silver and brown façade, located in Strasbourg's European district, about two kilometres northeast of the Grande Île. Outside, the 47 flags of the member states of the Council of Europe are displayed, with the date of their accession. Inside it houses seventeen meeting rooms, around a hundred offices for secretariat staff and the hemicycle of the Parliamentary Assembly, covered by a large dome.
