Carrousel Bridge
The Carrousel Bridge crosses the River Seine and connects the Quai des Tuileries with the Quai Voltaire, facing the Louvre and near the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel. At each of its corners stand allegorical sculptures by Louis Petitot representing Industry, Abundance, the City of Paris and the Seine. The bridge has a system of telescopic lamp posts designed by Raymond Subes, whose height varies between day and night. A plaque on the bridge commemorates Brahim Bouarram and all victims of racism, recalling an event that took place in 1995.
