Petit Trianon
The Petit Trianon is a square palace in the gardens of the Palace of Versailles, surrounded by gardens in French and English styles, and is notable for its four Corinthian-style façades, each adapted to the surroundings it faces. Inside, visitors walk up the grand staircase with its wrought-iron and gilded bronze railing, and can see the reception rooms, the queen's apartment overlooking the English gardens and the Monument to Love, as well as Marie Antoinette's library in the attic. The grounds also include the Queen's Theatre, the Temple of Love, a cool pavilion and the Queen's Hamlet, where adobe cottages inspired by rural farms can be found, all forming an ensemble that reflects Marie Antoinette's taste for nature and country life.
