The Diamond and Flower Ferris Wheel is a 117-metre-high Ferris wheel in Kasai Rinkai Park, in Edogawa, Tokyo. It has 68 cabins, each seating 6 people, and each rotation takes 17 minutes. On clear days, riders can see Tokyo, Tokyo Bay, Tokyo Disneyland, Chiba, Mount Fuji and the Bōsō Peninsula from the top. It takes its name from its light shows, which resemble a sparkling diamond or a flower. When it was completed in 2001 it was the second-tallest Ferris wheel in the world and the tallest ever built in Japan; after the Sky Dream Fukuoka closed in September 2009, it once again became the tallest operating Ferris wheel in Japan.
