Neo-Mamluk-style mosque standing right opposite the Sultan Hassan Mosque, at the foot of the Citadel. It was built between 1869 and 1912 and holds the tombs of members of the Muhammad Ali dynasty, among them King Fuad I and King Farouk, as well as the last Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. The building imitates medieval Mamluk taste, with a large decorated interior.
