An octagonal-plan mosque designed by Mimar Sinan around 1563 for Rüstem Pasha, grand vizier of Suleiman the Magnificent. It is famous for the Iznik tiles that cover the façade and interior walls, with tulip and flower motifs on a white, red and blue background. It stands on a raised terrace above shops in the Tahtakale district, near the Spice Bazaar.
