Waldfriedhof Dahlem is a forest cemetery in Berlin, designed between 1931 and 1933 by Albert Brodersen. Densely planted with conifers, it is known for holding the graves of numerous notable figures, including the writer Gottfried Benn, former president Richard von Weizsäcker and the actor Harald Juhnke. The grounds include a chapel built in 1931/32 by Heinrich Schweitzer in an expressive realist style, seating around 120 people. The cemetery has been listed as a garden and architectural monument since 1997 and is the greenest in Berlin. Visitors can walk its fir-lined avenues and discover the graves of historical figures from German culture, science and politics.
