Rotten Row
Rotten Row is a broad, sand-covered avenue running 1,384 metres along the south side of Hyde Park, in London, and is used mainly for horse riding. Visitors can walk along this historic bridleway, created in the late 17th century as part of the royal route between Kensington and St James's palaces, which was once a meeting place for London high society, who came to ride and be seen. Today, although riders are a rare sight, the track is still occasionally used by the Household Cavalry and by those who hire horses from nearby stables such as Hyde Park Stables and Ross Nye Stables.
