Field of Mars
NatureVisit: ~30 minFree
Large landscaped esplanade in the centre of Saint Petersburg, between the Summer Garden, the Moika canal and the Marble Palace. It was a military parade ground and is now a park. It holds the Monument to the Fighters of the Revolution, unveiled in 1919, and an eternal flame lit in 1957, next to the statue of Suvorov. Its gardens make a quiet pause between visits.
