The Museu Coleção Berardo, located in the Centro Cultural de Belém, houses an outstanding collection of modern and contemporary art. The permanent exhibition is spread over two floors: the second floor covers modern art from the early 20th century, with works by Picasso, Duchamp and pop art, while floor -1 is devoted to art from 1960 to the present, including minimalism, conceptualism and Land Art. The collection includes more than 900 works by artists such as Warhol, Dalí, Bacon, Paula Rego and Helena Almeida. The museum also programmes temporary exhibitions and activities such as guided tours and family workshops. The collection is valued at 316 million euros by Christie's.
