State Public Library in Granada
The State Public Library in Granada occupies a freestanding building on a rectangular plan, set between streets at different levels and with two gardens attached on the southeast and northeast sides. Inside, concentric rings alternate entrances of overhead light with opaque book-storage areas, creating a labyrinthine route. Four glass voids at the corners of the central space bring the outside into the reading rooms, where monumental pillars branch out to support the upper floor.
