Upland Gate
CultureVisit: ~15 min
The Upland Gate, Brama Wyżynna, is the western end of the Royal Route. It was built between 1574 and 1576 as part of the fortifications, looking like a Renaissance triumphal arch. Its façade bears the coats of arms of Poland, Royal Prussia and the city of Gdansk. Next to it stand the Prison Tower and the Torture House, which form a complex with the gate.
