Three Crosses
NatureVisit: ~45 min
Monument of three white crosses on a hill east of the old town, with views of the city. The original concrete ensemble, the work of Antanas Vivulskis (1916), was destroyed by the Soviet authorities in 1950. It was rebuilt in 1989 to a design by Henrikas Šilgalis and is now a symbol of resistance and of Lithuanian identity. You walk up from the park along a short path.
