CultureVisit: ~45 min
Seminary founded by Saint John of Ribera, archbishop and viceroy of Valencia, and built between 1586 and 1615 in the spirit of the Counter-Reformation. It has an austere facade on Calle de la Nau, a Renaissance cloister with a double arcade on Genoese columns with tiled plinths, and a chapel with frescoes and Ribalta's Last Supper above the high altar. A small museum brings together 16th- and 17th-century painting, with works by El Greco, Joan de Joanes and Ribalta. It has been a National Monument since 1962.
