Chapel of San Bartolomé
The Chapel of San Bartolomé is one of the finest examples of Mudéjar architecture in Córdoba, in the heart of the Jewish Quarter. It was built between the 14th and 15th centuries. In the Baroque period it was absorbed into the old Cardinal Salazar hospital, now home to the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, and it was restored in the 19th century; the last major restoration was in the 1970s. The main entrance has a porch with three arches. The interior is a single nave with rib vaults and preserves fine plasterwork and a tiled dado. Behind the altar there are remains of old wall paintings. It is on Calle Averroes, next to Plaza del Cardenal Salazar. It is listed as a Site of Cultural Interest (Bien de Interés Cultural).
