Monserrate
Hill that overlooks Bogotá from the east, at 3,152 metres above sea level, about 500 metres above the city. On the summit is the Sanctuary of the Fallen Lord of Monserrate, a place of pilgrimage since colonial times. You can go up by cable car, by funicular or on foot along a steep path. From the top you can see the whole city spread across the savanna, and the altitude is noticeable: it is best to go slowly.
