Necropolis of the 4th Dynasty (around 2600-2500 BC) on the Giza plateau, on the western edge of Cairo. It brings together the pyramids of Khufu (the Great Pyramid, about 138 m high today), Khafre and Menkaure, along with smaller queens' pyramids, nobles' tombs and temples. The Great Pyramid was the tallest structure in the world for millennia and is the only wonder of the ancient world still standing.
