State Jewish museum of Lithuania, named after Rabbi Elijah ben Solomon, the Gaon of Vilna (1720-1797). It recalls the history of the Jews in Lithuania and the life of Vilnius, known as the "Jerusalem of the North", up to the Holocaust. It brings together photographs, ritual objects and testimonies of a community that was one of the most important in Europe.
