San Marco Museum
Former Dominican convent in Piazza San Marco, renovated by Michelozzo in the 15th century with the support of Cosimo de' Medici, now a museum. It keeps the largest group of works by Fra Angelico, who painted frescoes in the cloister, the chapter house and the friars' cells, among them the Annunciation on the upper floor. Girolamo Savonarola was prior of the convent.
