Historic café in Chiado, on Rua Garrett, opened in 1905. It was a meeting point for Lisbon's artists and intellectuals, and in front of the terrace there is a bronze statue of the poet Fernando Pessoa sitting at a table, by Lagoa Henriques, from 1988. Its speciality is coffee, served in the Portuguese style, and the interior preserves its period decoration.
