The Berlin Museum of Musical Instruments is in the Kulturforum, next to the Philharmonie, and brings together instruments from the 16th century to today: harpsichords, organs, violins, pianos and guitars. It includes the great Mighty Wurlitzer cinema organ and a historic collection of keyboards. It is part of the State Institute for Music Research and grew out of a collection dating from the late 19th century.
