Wat Pho
CultureVisit: ~90 min
One of the oldest temples in Bangkok, older than the present capital and extended by Rama I and Rama III. Its Reclining Buddha is about 46 metres long and 15 high, covered in gold leaf, with the soles of its feet decorated with mother-of-pearl. It is also the cradle of traditional Thai massage, with a school and massage rooms within the complex, alongside hundreds of Buddha images and ceramic stupas.
