The Temple of Dawn rises on the western bank of the Chao Phraya, in Thonburi. Its central prang, about 70 metres tall, is covered in Chinese porcelain and shells forming flowers and decorative motifs. You can climb a very steep staircase to a terrace with views of the river and the Grand Palace. You get there by ferry, crossing from Tha Tien pier, next to Wat Pho.
