Bolonia Beach and Dune
NatureVisit: ~150 min
Bolonia is a cove open to the Atlantic in the municipality of Tarifa, at the foot of the Sierra de la Plata. Its light-sand beach is one of the most extensive on the Cádiz coast and at its eastern end rises a large shifting dune, declared a natural monument. A few metres from the shore are the Roman ruins of Baelo Claudia, and from the dune you can see the coast of Morocco on clear days.
