Sikh temple on Chandni Chowk street, on the spot where the ninth Sikh guru, Tegh Bahadur, was executed in 1675 by order of the emperor Aurangzeb. The trunk of the tree beside which it is said to have happened is preserved. The present gurdwara, with gold and white domes, was built in the 18th century and renovated later. Entry is free: you must cover your head and take off your shoes, and anyone can eat for free in the communal langar.
